Nothing extra. Just soap.

A truly unscented bar made from pasture-raised lard and the most essential ingredients only.

This is the simplest soap bar we make, and that is exactly the point.

Our Cold Process Lard Soap is handcrafted using lard rendered from our own pigs, raised on pasture with room to root, forage, and live as pigs should. No fragrance. No essential oils. No botanicals. Nothing added for scent, color, or trend.

Just pure lard, distilled water, American-made sodium hydroxide, and a small amount of sodium lactate for a harder, longer-lasting bar.

Lard produces a gentle, creamy lather and a bar that cleans effectively without stripping the skin. This soap is intentionally uncomplicated, making it a dependable choice for daily use on hands and body, especially for those who prefer or require a fragrance-free option.

Each batch is made slowly, cured properly, and left just as it is. Honest soap, made the traditional way.

Why This Matters

Many people need or choose unscented products, but truly unscented options are harder to find than they should be. Fragrance free often still means something has been added to mask scent or alter the final bar.

This soap does neither.

By using a short, transparent ingredient list and a traditional fat that has been used in soapmaking for generations, we are able to offer a bar that is straightforward, functional, and respectful of sensitive skin.

Using lard from animals we raise ourselves also matters. It keeps the process local, reduces waste, and honors the whole animal rather than relying on highly processed or imported oils.

This bar is not flashy. It is not trendy. It is simply a well-made soap that does its job and does it well.

Made by hand in the U.S. in small batches with 100% organic ingredients.

Ingredients: Adeps Suillus (Lard), Aqua, Sodium Hydroxide and Sodium Lactate

*Certified Organic Ingredient

This bar contains pure lard rendered from pigs we raise here on pasture.

Lard (Sus scrofa domesticus)

Lard has been used in traditional soapmaking for generations and was often chosen for everyday household soaps due to its reliability and skin compatibility. In traditional practices, animal fats were valued for producing soaps that cleanse thoroughly without excessive stripping. Lard contributes to a creamy, stable lather and a bar that holds up well over time. Its fatty acid profile creates balance between cleansing and gentleness, making it suitable for frequent use. In this soap, lard forms the foundation of a practical, long-lasting bar rooted in traditional methods.

Water (Aqua)

Water plays an essential role in traditional cold process soapmaking by allowing the sodium hydroxide to fully dissolve and properly react with the fats during saponification. Historically, clean water sources were considered foundational to any successful soap or household preparation. Once the soap is fully cured, the majority of the water has evaporated, leaving behind a solid bar. Its role is functional rather than active, supporting the transformation of simple ingredients into finished soap. Distilled water is used here to ensure consistency and purity throughout the process.

Sodium Hydroxide

Sodium hydroxide is an essential and traditional ingredient in true soapmaking and has been used for centuries to transform fats into soap. Through the process of saponification, it reacts fully with the oils and does not remain in its original form after curing. Traditional soapmakers relied on careful formulation and proper cure time to ensure a gentle, stable finished bar. Its inclusion reflects adherence to time-tested soapmaking practices. Without it, real soap would not exist.

Sodium Lactate

Sodium lactate is a salt derived from lactic acid and is often used in traditional-style soapmaking to improve the structure of the finished bar. It helps create a harder soap that unmolds more easily and lasts longer during use. In formulation, this supports longevity rather than altering the cleansing character of the soap itself. Its use is minimal and purposeful, aligned with the goal of creating a dependable, long-lasting bar. Here, it supports the practical function of the soap without adding fragrance, color, or unnecessary complexity.
