Description

An exceptionally mild, non-irritating shampoo and wash designed for the youngest of skin. This formula is built around a certified tear-free surfactant system and carefully adjusted to a neutral, eye-friendly pH to support comfortable bathing from the very beginning.

It is enriched with hydrolyzed oat extract, aloe vera, glycerin, panthenol, and a touch of conditioning guar gum to help cleanse without stripping, support the skin barrier, and leave hair and skin feeling soft, smooth, and cared for. This wash is part of our modern botanical approach to baby care. 

Why this matters

Baby skin is thinner, more permeable, and still developing its protective barrier. This makes it especially sensitive to harsh cleansers and unnecessary additives. Gentle formulation choices matter, particularly in products used regularly.

This wash is intentionally simple and carefully balanced. A tear-free cleansing system helps reduce eye irritation during rinsing, while skin-supportive humectants and soothing botanicals such as Avena sativa and Aloe barbadensis help maintain moisture and comfort rather than stripping it away. Conditioning guar gum improves slip and reduces friction during washing, which can make a meaningful difference for sensitive scalps and fine hair.

The focus is not on doing more, but on doing better. It's about supporting healthy skin with thoughtful ingredients and a formulation that respects how young skin actually functions.

This wash is intentionally simple. Every ingredient was chosen for a specific reason. The focus is on gentle cleansing, skin comfort, and practical daily use for babies and families.

Tear-free cleansing system:

I have used a carefully balanced blend of very mild, plant-derived and amino acid–based surfactants. This blend creates a soft, low-irritation cleanse. The system is certified tear-free and designed to cleanse without stripping, making it suitable for delicate skin and sensitive eyes.

Aloe barbadensis (Aloe vera)

Aloe is included at a gentle level to support skin and scalp comfort and hydration without any irritation to the eye. Known for its soothing properties, aloe helps calm the skin without adding unnecessary heaviness or residue.

Avena sativa (Oat)

Oat has a long history of use in sensitive-skin care. In this wash, hydrolyzed oat helps support the skin barrier, reduce dryness, and contribute to a soft, comfortable skin feel after rinsing.

Flax derived glycerin & propanediol

These skin-identical humectants help attract and retain moisture in the skin and hair. Used thoughtfully, they support hydration and comfort without leaving the skin feeling sticky or over-treated.

Panthenol (Vitamin B5)

Panthenol supports moisture balance and improves the feel of both skin and hair. It is widely used in our products for its conditioning and soothing properties.

Conditioning guar gum

A small amount of conditioning guar gum improves slip and reduces friction during washing. This helps make rinsing more comfortable and leaves hair feeling smoother and easier to manage, especially for fine or delicate hair.

pH-balanced for comfort

This wash is carefully adjusted to a neutral, eye-friendly pH to support comfortable bathing and help minimize irritation during use.

Preservation & stability

A broad-spectrum preservative system and a gentle chelator are used to keep the product safe, stable, and free from microbial growth throughout its shelf life. This ensures consistency and safety without relying on excessive or harsh preservatives.

Usage & Safety

How to use

Apply a small amount to wet hair and skin. Gently massage into a soft lather, taking extra care around the eyes. Rinse thoroughly with warm water. Suitable for use as both a shampoo and body wash.

For newborns and very young infants, less is more. A small amount is all that’s needed.

Who it’s for

This wash is formulated for babies, toddlers, and children. It is gentle enough for adults with sensitive skin or scalps. It is appropriate for daily use and shared family routines.

Tear-free & eye comfort

This formula is made with a certified tear-free surfactant system and adjusted to a neutral, eye-friendly pH to support comfortable rinsing. As with any cleanser, direct contact with eyes should be avoided when possible (though I tested this wash by rubbing it directly into my eyes). If product enters the eyes, rinse gently with clean water.

Safety notes

For external use only. Discontinue use if irritation occurs. Do not use if you or your child are allergic to any of the ingredients.

As with all personal care products, a patch test is recommended before first use, especially for very sensitive skin.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

A gentle reminder

Every child’s skin is unique. What works beautifully for one may not be right for another. This wash was formulated with restraint and sensitivity in mind, but caregivers should always trust their observations and instincts.
